Behind the scenes: printing the José Mateo Ballet Theatre 25 Anniversary Gala Program

Our friends at Arlington Lithograph just finished printing the 25th anniversary gala program for our client (and friend) José Mateo Ballet Theatre.
The program was printed with two-color process, Pantone Cool Gray 7 and Pantone 306. Using two inks with offset printing can create strikingly beautiful results and it is more affordable than digital printing, especially at high quantities.

José Mateo Ballet Theatre — Tidal Forces

José Mateo Ballet Theatre produced five performances during the 25th anniversary season. The entire season was summarized in the Full Season Brochure. The materials for each of the concerts consisted of postcard, poster, program, tickets, and signage.
While all the materials were consistent and tied in with the Full Season Brochure, they varied enough to lend a distinctive look to each of the concerts.
Shown here are some of the materials designed for the early Spring Tidal Forces concert.

$25,000 Springborn Fellowship for Art Students

We designed the poster for the School of the Museum of Fine Arts Springborn Fellowship scholarship program. The casting was tough, but getting the model to be still for a minute was even harder.

Dr. Robert and Carolyn Springborn (BFA '76) have generously established a scholarship program to support students who have proven themselves to be excellent and highly motivated artists.
The Springborn Fellowship program is the most prestigious undergraduate award at the SMFA. Through this program, the School will award tuition, fees and living expenses—$25,000 each to two undergraduate students moving into their third year of study.

Now that’s putting the money where your (or the student’s) mouth is.
