Celebrating Evelyn's Dream - The Hot Pink Party NY

Or - if we wanted to brag - How Mario Avila Design helped The Breast Cancer Research Foundation raise $5.5 Million for Breast Cancer Cure.
The theme of the fundraising event: The Hot Pink Party Celebrates My Fair Evelyn's Dream - in honor of Evelyn Lauder, the founder of BCRF, who sadly past away in November 2011. More

The dreamy ballroom of Waldorf=Astoria in New York. Ready for magic.

It was an amazing feeling to see our work all over the place; projected on the walls, the programs, the menus, the signs and posters, the power point raffle presentation... A dream. We are grateful to BCRF, namely Lucretia Gilbert, the Director of Development and Special Events, for the opportunity to contribute to the enormous success of this event. The event theme and decoration was created by Monroe Alechman.

"My first job, when I was 13, was to come to the grand ballroom of the Waldorf=Astoria and they had beautiful models walking around handing out Estee Lauder face powder," Leonard Lauder said. "The women loved it and I remember it very fondly. So every one of you is going to receive a scarf made with a photograph Evelyn took."

The beautiful and charming Elizabeth Hurley with Sir Elton John, an amazing artist and entertainer, and a long-time friend of the Lauder family and supporter of BCRF: "I loved pink before I met Evelyn Lauder, and I like it even more now," said Elton John, who performed at the benefit -- his 12th.
